Our Refinery

From raw gold to certified bullion

Our refining operations transform alluvial gold, artisanal doré and scrap gold into high-purity bullion. Each lot follows a controlled, documented process from intake to final pour.

Our refining process

01

Intake and weighing

Each lot is registered, photographed and weighed on calibrated scales in the presence of the client or their representative. A unique lot number is assigned for full traceability.

02

Pre-melt assay

A sample is taken and tested (XRF and fire assay) to establish the initial fineness and detect impurities or foreign metals.

03

Smelting

The gold is melted in a controlled furnace to produce a homogeneous doré bar. Slag and non-metallic impurities are removed.

04

Refining

Depending on the target purity, we apply aqua regia chemical refining or miller chlorination to remove base metals and silver, raising the gold to 99.5% or 99.9% fineness.

05

Final assay and certification

The refined bar is re-tested. Weight, fineness and lot number are stamped on the bar and recorded on the assay certificate.

06

Sealing and release

Bars are sealed, documented and either released to the client or moved to secure storage pending export.

What We Refine

  • Alluvial and artisanal gold (nuggets, dust, flakes)
  • Doré bars from mining operations
  • Scrap and jewellery gold
  • Gold-bearing concentrates (on assessment)

Output Standards

  • Bars from 100 g to 12.5 kg per client requirements
  • Purity of 96.5%, 99.5% or 99.9%
  • Each bar stamped: weight, fineness, serial number
  • Full assay certificate delivered with every bar

Environmental Responsibility

Controlled fume treatment, safe chemical handling and no mercury use in our own processes. We encourage artisanal suppliers to adopt mercury-free recovery methods.
